I guess that'll be my new go-to procedure when it happens again. This is actually the second time in a week that I've had to update a client's BIOS and SATA driver to get the SSD to boot. Once you're up and running and satisfied, put the stinkin' cover back on the computer.Remove the HDD, swap in the SSD, fire it up.Trying to boot from the already-cloned SSD didn't work at this point. now, still running from the HDD, re-clone the HDD to the SSD.install both of those and reboot as needed.download the latest SATA drivers (you might have to click on "See All Drivers" or similar). download the latest BIOS update (I went from v 1.9.0 to v 1.10.0) In this video, I show you how to copy the factory-installed Windows on a 1TB hard drive, to a 360 GB M.2 SSD on a Dell Inspiron 5570.Put in your Service Tag number and go to the Drivers download section re-install the original HDD to the computer (by now you've left the back cover off, right?).After trying most of the recommended procedures for getting a Crucial MX500 clone SSD installed to a Dell Inspiron 3477 AIO, I was able to get it done with a very simple, pretty non-invasive procedure:
